| ![]() || Thursday, November 15, 2007 || And I'm finally updating. Just that I've been pretty lazy to update all this while, not that anything interesting happened anyway. Oh wait. Deepavali was fun! Ate lots and now I gotta squeeze into my jeans. Oh well.I'm scared for my dance exam, which is on Saturday. I must pass this and get on to the next stage. Ah. And my stamina sucks. Anyways. Titanic beats Romeo and Juliet anyday. At least in my opinion it does. I mean practically speaking, I found it more romantic, sincere, and mature than Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet met, fell in "love" (or what I would call physical attraction), got married, had sex, and died, all in a day and a half. Jack did find Rose attractive, but then again he didn't go off proposing to her the next minute. They got to know each other over the period that they were in Titanic, and I must say, Jack did have a good view on life, and knew how to live it. If you ask me, I think that's what made Rose fall in love with him. The fact that a man takes life as it comes and makes each day count, just makes him that much more attractive. So anyway, they really did understand each other, which means they did fall in love, not just physical attraction. And even when Jack died, Rose didn't go killing herself, and instead mustered up all the willpower she had, to live, cause she had promised Jack to survive, no matter what happened, or how hopeless the situation got. And I love Rose for that, cause it's hard to have the willpower to survive when you're in the middle of a deep, cold, dark ocean, with just a wooden plank to hold on to, and you're practically freezing to death. That woman's strong. So yes, I never quite liked sappy romance stuff, but this one was good. There's alot of other things I wanna say about this but I can't quite get the words right now. And again, I think Romeo and Juliet is shallow. |
