| ![]() || Friday, April 04, 2008 || It's good sometimes to take a break from all the buzz that's going around you and think about the past.I miss the times when after kindergarten, my mum would pick me up from the bus stop and ask me what happened in class that day, and I would give her a full recount of what happened that day. I miss the times when I used to do little cards and flowers for my mum. I wonder what happened to the guy who gave me the stuffed toy panda in kindergarten. And I also wonder what happened to the guy who tried to lick my tongue in kindergarten. I must say, he was kinda cute for a five year old. Haha. I miss the times when I used to call my mum everyday without fail during recess till I was about primary 3. I miss the times that I went on random trips to Changi Airport with my dad. We'll buy peanuts, he'll push me around in the trolley till he got tired, we'll go watch planes, he'll fall asleep, I'll eat the peanuts, he'll wake up, then we'll go get lunch, he'll take the boring straight angled pictures that most dads take, I'll get pushed around some more, and we'll go home. It was simple yet a wonderful feeling. Sharas and I used to write letters to each other towards the end of primary 6. It worked like this. I would write her a letter and pass it to her, she'll read it, and reply back with another letter the next day. It was kiddo and all, but really fun at that time, and till now, I kinda miss those days. I was so mad when my parents found out, read them and tore them and threw them away. It apparently was a waste of time. Well thanks but now I'll have one less childhood possession to keep and to possibly show my kids. We all have opinions. In fact it's very good to have opinions. It shows that you're actually thinking. But you gotta know when to say it and when not to. Sometimes people do not wanna hear your opinions, either because it's redundant, or it's not gonna do them any good, or it's just not nice. It'll be good if sometimes when we were to say something, we could put ourselves in their shoes, think how they might feel, if it's gonna be offensive or not, and whether it's very necessary. But sadly not all of us have the ability to think from different angles. Sucks. Ah. I feel sorry for the people who realised the meaning of fiction and non-fiction only after they joined library. How pathetic. Hahaha. And I think it is a known fact to everyone that my phone got no hope already lah. |
